About our Band Program
Whitewater Middle School opened in 1990 and under the direction of Mr. Bill Melton, the band program enjoyed great success! Under Mr. Melton's direction, the band program performed at an extremely high level and earned numerous Superior ratings at GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation! The band program's success continued under Elizabeth Haynes who took the program to perform for the Music for All Southeastern Band Festival. In 2018, the program welcomed Mr. Steven Charity as it's newest director! After three years of middle school band our students will go on to become members of the wildly successful Whitewater High School program under the direction of Chad Reynolds.
