While the director always strives to give as much individual attention to each student, the time constraints and the size of the band often limit the reach of the director to each individual student as often as needed.  The success of every outstanding band program depends on the quality of the players as well as the determination of the band students to give that extra effort.  Top school band programs across the nation typically have large numbers of students studying privately.  A private teacher has the opportunity to cover some of the finer points that will be covered in a class setting.  Students interested in studying privately should contact the director or any local music store to obtain a list of reputable private instructors.  We will have several private lesson teachers available for after-school lessons each Wednesday at Whitewater MS.  More information will be sent home regarding this opportunity.
